Hartwick Students Earn Rize Career Skills Scholarships
Two Hartwick College students have been recognized with Rize Career Skills Scholarships, a program designed to support and celebrate students who successfully apply skills learned in the classroom to meaningful real-world experiences and professional development. Mira Crawford ’26 and Mary Kinnane ’26 were selected among just 25 students across Rize partner institutions to receive the competitive scholarship.
The scholarships specifically recognize students who demonstrate how career-focused, skills-based coursework can translate directly into practical experiences beyond the classroom. Both Crawford and Kinnane highlighted how coursework from Hartwick’s healthcare administration program, offered through Rize Education, prepared them for hands-on internships and leadership opportunities.
Crawford, a public health major with minors in healthcare administration and political science, focused her application on how she applied skills learned in her Rize healthcare administration courses during her internship with Hartwick’s Office of Wellness and Health Promotion. In that role, she helped develop educational materials and outreach initiatives to keep students healthy and safe on campus.
