Some, like longtime friends – and now Saxon Hall roommates – Kylie Guarino ’27, history, and Erica Leeson ’27, inclusive childhood education, were already planning how they are going to set up their room.
“We could make bunk beds!” said Leeson. “I’m already coordinating our bedding. I’m bringing gray sheets and Kylie is doing blue.”
“It’s so cute,” Guarino agreed. “And it’s right near the bathroom, so that’s good.”
And many were surprised by the size of the rooms. “We’ve got a lot of space,” said Katelyn Klotz ’27, nursing. “And we’re going to need it because I am bringing so many clothes!”
“There’s a lot more storage than I thought there would be,” said Leeson.
And for those who haven’t decided how they’ll decorate, like Phillip Spinato ’27, anthropology, who will be in Holmes Hall, there is still time to make the new living spaces their own.
“They all look like this on move-in day,” said Ed Gabrys, associate director of Residential Life and Community Standards. “But by the end of that day, no two rooms will look the same.”
