Alison Dodge ’05
Learning Specialist
Alison R. Dodge ’05 has seven years of experience working at Hartwick and recently transitioned to the Center for Student Success as the Learning Specialist after four years in Hartwick’s Career Development office. Previously, Alison worked in Marketing & Communications and Alumni Relations. A graduate of Hartwick, Alison received her Bachelors in Art in 2005 concentrating in Visual Communications and Glassblowing. During this time she was also a member of the field hockey and equestrian teams. Alison’s passion and experience working with individuals who learn differently began when she became a Certified Therapeutic Horseback Riding Instructor through PATH International. For over ten years Alison supported children and adults–including veterans and active-duty military personnel–with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges, finding strength and independence through equine-assisted services. Alison is an active advocate for individuals with disabilities through her work supporting individuals using Self Direction through New York State’s OPWDD. In addition, Alison is the Advisor for Hartwick’s Leadership, Education and Awareness for Disabilities Club.
