Daniel Sclafani

Daniel Sclafani is a saxophonist and educator with a special interest in contemporary solo and chamber music. This interest has been focused on performing and recording lesser-known contemporary and avant-garde compositions for solo saxophone. Daniel holds a Masters in Saxophone Performance from Rutgers University where he studied with Paul Cohen. He received his B.M. in Music Education with Performance Honors from Syracuse University where he studied with Ronald Caravan. In 2021, he was selected for the Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik, Darmstadt studying contemporary music with Marcus Weiss. Currently, Daniel teaches instrumental music grades 4-12 in upstate New York, and teaches saxophone lessons at Hartwick College and SUNY Oneonta.
