Heidi Hofbauer-Buzzy
Head Athletic Trainer
Heidi Hofbauer-Buzzy is head athletic trainer for all Hartwick varsity sports. Her duties include overseeing assistant athletic trainers with the responsibility of rehabilitating and providing care for all Hartwick scholar-athletes. She also is responsible for overseeing the training room, supervising work-study students, and planning and scheduling medical coverage at sporting events. She is the coordinator for all institutional drug testing and the liaison for team physicians.
A National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) member, Hofbauer-Buzzy was responsible for the design and selection of equipment for Hartwick’s Elting Fitness Center. She also designed the Mitchell Room, a separate room connected to the fitness center which serves as a team room for closed team workouts.
She received her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Springfield College and graduated with a minor in health and fitness. She is licensed by New York State in athletic training and professional CPR/AED.
