Welcome to Hartwick College! We ask that those participating in pre, and post-game tailgating be respectful of those around you and be mindful of activities, language and actions that could be offensive to others. All tailgating activities should foster a safe, fun and family-friendly environment that encourages positive social interaction and enhances school spirit. Any disorderly behavior or those deemed in violation of this, or any other campus policy will be grounds for dismissal from the contest, the campus and the possible notification of local law enforcement.

For Hartwick football fans or families wishing to purchase a tailgating pass to be allowed in the designated Hartwick tailgate lot, please review information here.

The Hawks Nest will no longer be available for general admission at football games. The Hawk’s Nest is for use by Hartwick Athletic teams for post-game events only or on an as-reserved basis. Families and parents of Hartwick teams wishing to use or reserve the Hawk’s Nest should work with the team’s head coach to reserve the space and arrange a time and date.

Visiting institutions and families wishing to conduct tailgating activities need to contact the Athletic Department (607-431-4700) at least 48 hrs prior to arrival in order to establish tailgating at a location away from the area of competition, if available. Hartwick will not be responsible for providing tables, chairs, or outlets to conduct tailgating activities. Hartwick Athletics cannot guarantee designated tailgating spaces (inside or outside) for home or visitor gatherings.

The safety of our students, families, visitors and members of our Hartwick Hawk Community is of utmost importance to the Hartwick Athletic department and to the College. Therefore, we ask that you please adhere to the following tailgating rules:

Those under 21 should not be permitted to serve or consume alcohol.Hartwick College reserves the right to remove individuals from the designated area due to underage drinking or the serving of minors.
