HartLand Promise Extended to Onondaga County

Onondaga County has been added to the Hartwick College HartLand Promise.

Beginning in 2024-25, students that live in or attend high school or college in the following counties: Otsego, Chenango, Delaware, Herkimer,NYS Map showing Hartwick's HartLand Promise Surrounding Counties Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Schoharie – and now Onondaga – are eligible for the HartLand Promise, making the cost of attending Hartwick College comparable to, or in some cases less than, a SUNY university center.

Through the HartLand Promise, eligible students who apply and are admitted will be charged tuition and fees of, on average, between $9,000 and $10,000 per year for 2024-25. To be eligible, students must live in or attend high school or college in Onondaga, be accepted as full-time, first-time Hartwick students taking 12 credits, and reside on campus.

Located in the center of New York State, Onondaga County is home to the City of Syracuse and approximately 480,000 residents, making it the biggest county eligible for Hartwick’s HartLand Promise. The support will serve over 20,000 in grades 9 – 12 in Onondaga, making the future-focused experience at Hartwick College an extremely affordable option.

For more information about the HartLand Promise, visit the program webpage or contact Hartwick’s Admissions Office at 607-431-4150 or [email protected].
