Living at Pine Lake
Hartwick's Pine Lake campus offers a unique residential alternative to residence hall life. Even though the setting appears remote, residents share a strong sense of community.
Pine Lake provides a unique residential experience for Hartwick students.
Whether you choose a unique cabin or a room in Robertson Lodge, the Pine Lake living experience is unlike any other. Most Cabins have wifi access, landline telephones, heat & air conditioning, and full sized beds, while Lodge rooms and Hill and Dale cabin have XL single beds.
Pine Lake Housing Options
Upper class students can choose to live at Hartwick’s Pine Lake through the Residential Life and Housing Independent Living selection each Spring.
Students residing at the Pine Lake campus, may not be under College disciplinary sanction and should be in good academic standing (GPA greater than 2.0) and must also provide their own transportation.

Bailey Cabin
This two-story cabin that houses up to four students in four single bedrooms. Three bedrooms upstairs (two have skylights) are accessible by a narrow circular staircase and has an emergency exit exterior staircase. The downstairs contains a singe bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/living room, and opens onto an awesome wrap-around deck.

The Cob House
The Cob House offers two sleeping nooks (not full-size bedrooms). This earthen home has ten-foot ceilings, an open living area, and is built of largely local and salvaged materials. The exterior walls are built of cob, an earthen building material which is a mixture of sand, clay, and straw. A one-of-a-kind structure built by Hartwick students and alumni.

Crossroads Cabin
Crossroads is a cozy, smaller cabin with an open, studio-style floor plan. Interior has separate bathroom, open kitchenette/living area/sleeping area. A small roofed porch offers one of the best views of Pine Lake.

Hill and Dale Two Cabin
This cabin has two small single bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, living room and porch. It has no road access and students must be willing to walk across the lawn or through the woods to get to the cabin.

Outback Cabins
The three Outback cabins (Outback One, Outback Two, and Outback Three) perch side-by-side in a micro-community in the woods. Each cabin has two single bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and a small porch.

Redwood Cabins
Redwood One Cabin has three single bedrooms.
Redwood Two Cabin has two single bedrooms.
Both have knotty pine interiors with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and a small screened-in porch overlooking the lake. Being furthest from the Lodge the Redwood cabins may experience weaker wifi signals.

Robertson Lodge
The Robertson Lodge has 8 bedrooms on the second floor, 2 doubles and 6 singles (each with XL single bed(s)), housing up to 10 students. The lodge is Co-ed and houses a mix of students. The kitchen and second floor bathrooms are communal for Lodge residents only. The first floor laundry, living, dining and bathroom are available for use by all Pine Lake residents. Lodge residents must coexist with other Pine Lake residents; please keep the common areas clean and welcoming. The Pine Lake Office is also located on the 1st floor of the Lodge.
The Robertson Lodge Apartment has 1 bedroom, open living room/dining, kitchen area and bathroom. Located on the ground floor of the Lodge, noise from above is easily heard in the downstairs apartment, so please respect quiet hours. Typically one Pine Lake RAs reside in this apartment.
