Coca-Cola Executive to Speak at Meredith Sport Management Speaker Series

At 6 p.m. Sunday, April 6, Amber Steele, vice president of global sports partnerships and operations for the Coca-Cola Company, will headlineAmber Steele, vice president of global sports partnerships and operations for the Coca-Cola Company the Meredith Sport Management Speaker Series in Anderson Theatre at the Anderson Center for the Arts. The event is free and open to the public.

Steele oversees Coca-Cola’s global sponsorships, including FIFA, UEFA, IOC and the Special Olympics. She manages relationships with these organizations and leads event operations for Coca-Cola in host markets. Since joining the company in 2004, Steele has specialized in sponsorship consultation, event and operations management, sponsorship activation, event/experiential marketing and contract negotiations.

Steele has traveled around the globe and worked in the events and sports marketing world for over 30 years. She has worked on all sides of the business, including an agency, federation, club team, local organizing committee and sponsorship side. A native of Bloomington, Indiana, Steele holds a bachelor’s degree in business and communications from Indiana University.

Hartwick College launched this series on Feb. 28 with renowned sports and entertainment executive Doug Logan. At that event, the College honored Thom Meredith ’73 for his extraordinary contributions to sport management by naming the distinguished speaker series in his honor. This lasting tribute reflects his profound influence on the industry and his dedication to shaping future professionals.

The Meredith Sport Management Speaker Series brings prominent figures in sports management to campus to engage with students, faculty and the broader community. The series reflects the College’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, providing real-world learning opportunities and strengthening its longstanding tradition of athletics. Hartwick has been home to a strong athletic program for many years and the new lecture series underscores the College’s dedication to preparing students for successful careers in the dynamic world of sports.
