Global Focus: Coming to Hartwick

Bryan Bole ’29 and Luca Riesch ’29 share what it’s like studying abroad at Hartwick, from culture shock to campus life, friendship and finding their American experience.

Global Focus is a student-led project by Patrick Close ’26, Oiram Dueñas Valles ’26, and Ana Sánchez ’27. The project highlights the stories and perspectives of international students at Hartwick College, documenting and sharing their firsthand experiences of life on campus, academically, socially and culturally.

Through interviews and storytelling, Global Focus captures real experiences, challenges and moments of connection that shape the lives of international students. The project aims to promote cultural awareness and show how international voices contribute to Hartwick’s diverse and global campus.
