Hartwick College has announced the addition of its new healthcare administration Minor

“Hartwick’s new healthcare administration minor will help prepare our students for a range of careers in the health sector,” said Laurel Elder, professor of political science and department chair. “Hospitals and healthcare centers in our area and the country need qualified college graduates, and by creating this minor, Hartwick is responding to those needs.”

Beginning this fall, the healthcare administration minor will offer courses in health data and analytics, public administration, medical ethics and health economics. The courses will be taught by Hartwick’s political science, economics, accounting, history, and business faculty.

In addition to their coursework, students will have the opportunity to complete an internship with regional healthcare organizations.
