New Scholarship Honors Memory of Alumnus

Hartwick College is proud to announce the establishment of a new scholarship made possible through a $350,000 gift from the estate of Kevin Rudd, class of 1972. The scholarship will provide support for students who have maintained a GPA of 3.3 or higher.

A native of Granville, N.Y., Rudd completed his undergraduate studies at Hartwick College, majoring in biology. His pursuit of excellence then led him to SUNY Buffalo School of Dentistry. Following his education, Rudd served in the United States Navy Dental Corps and went on to have a successful dental career in Winter Park, Florida. Rudd passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 73.
