Both students developed their business concepts through Hartwick’s Griffiths Center for Collaboration & Innovation entrepreneurship-focused program that connects students with mentorship and hands-on startup experience.

Hartwick is expanding its commitment to workforce development and lifelong learning through a new suite of online professional development and career training courses offered through the Griffiths Center for Collaboration and Innovation.

This year’s fellows will pursue a variety of internships and professional experiences.

The competition, hosted at SUNY Oneonta, was the result of a new partnership between the two colleges and led by Adam Chaloeicheep, Hartwick’s entrepreneur-in-residence at the Griffiths Center for Collaboration and Innovation.

A $1.25 million gift from Sally Griffiths Herbert ’88 H’19 and Tim Herbert provided the Griffiths Center for Collaboration and Innovation’s backbone of support.

As a Baker-Simpson fellow, Chelsea Kotey ’25 is now looking for an internship that will help her combine her passion for healthcare with her rediscovered love of technology.

Looking back, it’s the many classroom and other academic experiences that Simon Baker ’93 holds most dear among his Hartwick highlight reel.

Members will help foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at Hartwick.

“I was nervous,” she said. “But I wanted to remind myself what this opportunity meant to me.”
