Scott Dalrymple
Executive-in-Residence & Coordinator, Sport Management Program
As President of Columbia College (MO) from 2014-2021, Dr. Dalrymple oversaw a $100 million annual budget, hundreds of employees, and 36 locations across the United States. He led the College to record levels of fundraising (culminating in a $175 million endowment and no long- term debt) and oversaw numerous building projects, including an innovative, $22 million residence hall that also housed the Plaster School of Business—which he founded, along with two other academic Schools.
He spearheaded the addition of numerous sports at Columbia, including baseball, track & field, lacrosse, cheer & dance, and bowling. He also founded one of the first collegiate eSports teams in the country (ranked #1 by ESPN at various points), and created the Midwest Campus Clash & Gaming Expo, then the largest such event in the Midwest.
He has also served as President of Paul Smith’s College (NY), Dean of Liberal Arts at Excelsior University (NY), and tenured Associate Professor and Dept. Chair of Business Administration & Accounting at Hartwick College.
