THE YAGER MUSEUM OF ART & CULTURE PRESENTS COMPELLING EXHIBITS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, AND IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

What’s more, the Museum functions as a hands-on learning environment where Hartwick students integrate academic knowledge with practical skills through Museum Studies courses to create exhibitions and programs for the public.

Museum Studies

MUSEUM HOURS

Fall 2026 Hours: The Museum will be open Tuesday-Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., beginning Tuesday, September 1 and continuing through Saturday, December 12. Admission is free.

Holidays: The Museum will be open on Monday, October 12, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. The Museum will be closed during Hartwick College recesses: October 17-20 and November 21-30.

Visitor Information

The Museum welcomes all members of the public. Admission is free; donations are welcome. In accordance with Hartwick College policy, vaccinations against COVID-19 are not required but strongly encouraged. The College reserves the right to require masks on an event-by-event basis.

“The Four Seasons” will transport visitors through the seasons of the year as interpreted by artists represented in the Yager Museum of Art & Culture collections.

A Mystery Unlocked: Students Bring Family Quest to Life

The mission? Complete six hands-on activities, gather puzzle pieces and solve the mystery of the “Treasure of the Yager Museum.” Family Quest was the semester project for the museum studies course Places of Learning: Museum and Education.

These programs will be open to the public when the Hartwick College campus is open to the public. In the event that the campus is closed to the public, some events may be offered virtually. All events, in person and virtual, are free and open to the public.
