Widespread Campus Enhancements Greet Hartwick Community For Fall Semester

A Hawks in Flight Feature

While the campus may not have been brimming with students over the summer, that doesn’t mean there wasn’t plenty of activity. In fact, most buildings across campus were abuzz, getting an array of upgrades. Most of these enhancements will be easy to spot. From the new flooring in Stack Lounge to the new leather couches in Bresee Hall main lounge, we were been busy making campus more comfortable and inviting for the Hartwick Community.

Here is a quick look at some of the spaces that got a little TLC over the past few months:

  • Stack Lounge (Dewar Union) – New flooring and furniture
  • Bresee Hall – New leather couches in the main lobby
  • Leitzell Hall – New roof (completed in one day!)
  • Clark Hall – New flooring on the main floor; new carpeting in stairwells, and the Atrium. Atrium and accent walls painted
  • Johnstone Science Center – The Rumble Room (JSC 210), a student lounge that is heavily used by our science students, got new painting, LED indirect lighting, flooring and furniture, and existing outlets scheduled to be replaced with Dual port USB charger outlets
  • Dewar Union – New flooring on the 4th and 2nd floors
  • Anderson Center for the Arts – New boards and lighting for the display of art

Lounges in the following have had an accent wall painted Hartwick Blue:

  • Hilltop House – Break-out rooms on floors 2 and 3 and balcony lounges
  • Oyaron House – Break-out rooms on floors 2 and 3 and balcony lounges
  • Saxton Hall – Lounges on floors 1 and 4
  • Holmes Hall – Lounges on floors 2 and 3
  • Wilder Hall – Kitchen and study lounges on floors 3 and 4
  • Leitzell Hall – Kitchen
  • VanEss Hall – Kitchen and study lounges on floors 2 and 3

Lounges in the following that got new LED dimmable lighting:
