Baker-Simpson Entrepreneurship Program is Back

The Baker-Simpson Entrepreneurial Leadership Program will once again take place after a three-year hiatus. This immersive internship opportunity allows motivated students to explore their aspirations in and around social entrepreneurship, innovation and social impact.

Students begin the program with a one-credit course that provides an introduction to the tenants of design thinking, entrepreneurship and innovation. Provided2016 Baker-Simpson Fellow Mau Fornerino working at Baker Avenue Asset Management during spring break, the fellows will participate in a week-long immersion program in Los Angeles and San Francisco where students visit some of the most innovative and well-known global organizations, including Pixar, Instagram, Ideo, and Stanford University d.School & Center for Social Innovation.

Program participants are identifying organizations to work with that have a social impact that align with their values and interests. So far, this year’s group has chosen to work in fields including healthcare access and equity, racial equity and equality, and environmental justice.
