Alumni Mentors: More Success Stories

Meet Myla Dobson ’22, a political science major, working as a project manager for Lumino Digital Consulting in Denver. Myla is another great example of the power of the Hartwick alumni network.

Myla found mentorship when Hartwick alumna Joanne Dittes Yepsen ‘80, former mayor of Saratoga Springs, spoke at the College during a J Term course. She discussed women in leadership and her experience as a woman in politics. Myla took the opportunity to ask Joanne if she had any opportunities to become an intern. After working through the interview and resume process, Myla started her internship in public affairs and the agency, Yepsen & Pikulski.

“Overall this first internship made me realize that I enjoy agency work. I was able to use my creative and organizational skills within graphic design and copywriting which translates into my current job.”
