Jacqueline Gregory Appointed Vice President for Enrollment Management

Hartwick College has announced the appointment of Jacqueline “Jackie” Gregory as vice president for enrollment management, effective June 1, 2026, following her successful service as interim vice president since July 2025.

A familiar and respected leader within the Hartwick community, Gregory brings more than 25 years of experience in enrollment, financial aid and higher education marketing. She currently serves as interim vice president for enrollment management and previously held the role of director of enrollment management since October 2023.

“Jackie is the right leader for Hartwick at this pivotal moment,” said President-elect Laurel Bongiorno. “She brings a powerful combination of experience across admissions and financial aid, along with a deep understanding of our students and our mission. Over the past year, her leadership has strengthened our enrollment strategy, advanced our institutional positioning and built strong momentum. I look forward to working closely with Jackie to build on that progress by strengthening confidence and pride in Hartwick and advancing our strategic priorities. Her steady, pragmatic approach and commitment to student success will be instrumental as we continue to expand opportunity and help more students find their place at Hartwick.”

Gregory began her professional career in higher education at Hartwick, where she spent a decade working in and leading admissions and financial aid, including serving as director of admissions. She then spent 14 years in the private sector, holding senior leadership roles in higher education marketing and enrollment strategy, including serving as a founding member and vice president of communication at an enrollment solutions and services provider, and as vice president of marketing for a firm focused on enrollment management, student success and fundraising solutions.

She returned to Hartwick in 2023, bringing with her a broad perspective shaped by professional experience and personal insight as a three-time parent navigating the college search process.

Since her return, Gregory has played a key role in advancing Hartwick’s enrollment efforts, helping to strengthen the College’s Life Balance market positioning, enhance recruitment communications, realign pricing strategy and modernize admissions operations.

“Hartwick played a formative role in my early career,” Gregory said. “I quite literally learned how to be an admissions and financial aid professional here. Returning to campus, I was eager to bring a deeper and broader perspective back to the place that shaped me and to help position the College for continued success.”

“This work is about connecting students and families to our transformative experience, and I am proud to continue supporting the College’s mission and goals alongside our incredible enrollment team.”

Gregory’s appointment builds on the College’s continued momentum in enrollment and institutional positioning. Her leadership has helped align strategy across admissions, marketing and financial aid, supporting a more cohesive and student-centered approach to recruitment.

Gregory earned her bachelor’s degrees summa cum laude from Salisbury University, where she double majored in history and geography and minored in anthropology.
