Hartwick College Showcases Regional High School Art in Annual Exhibition

The Hartwick College Art and Art History Department presents Principles: 8th Annual Regional High School Art Show in the Foreman Gallery, featuring student artwork from 10 area high schools.

The exhibition is on display to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Participating schools include Bethlehem Central School; Charlotte Valley Central School; Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School; Christian Brothers Academy, Albany; Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School; Greene Central School; Oxford Academy High School; Margaretville Central School; Shaker High School; and Walton Central School.

The show features the work of 126 students and includes 109 pieces of art, including a collaborative wire sculpture created by 27 students.

A closing reception will be held the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 21, as part of Hartwick’s Art Discovery Day for regional high school students. The reception is open to participating students and their families, as well as prospective students and faculty visiting campus for the event. Art Discovery Day will be attended by over 100 students and teachers, and will include studio tours and screen-printing activities.
