Hartwick College Honor Society
The Hartwick College Honor Society was founded in 1951 by seven faculty members to honor the highest academic achievements of members of the Hartwick community.
Each year, up to the top ten percent of the senior class is voted in by current members on the basis of grade point average. Students are inducted at a special Recognition Reception held at the end of spring semester, and receive an honorary gold tassel to wear on their caps at graduation.
The faculty and staff membership of HCHS is comprised of Hartwick College employees who were members of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, or a parallel general scholarship honor society whose membership was restricted to the top ten percent of their graduating class.
