Alumni Spotlight

After graduating from Hartwick with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Benjamin went on to earn his master’s degree in athletic training at the University of Delaware and a post-graduate certificate at the University of Kentucky.

Bob Hanft ’69 repeatedly saw the life-changing impact students gained from internships, so he and Pat Russell Hanft ’72, decided to make that their personal focus.

Nearly 80 guests gathered, alongside about 30 alumni builders, to celebrate Professor Sandy Huntington’s life and dedicate the Strawbale House in his memory.

Founded in 2023 by Professors Matt Chick, Laurel Elder, and Zach McKenney, the Hartwick Institute of Public Service partners with local governments to engage young people in our democracy, develop a foundation in the law and inspire the next generation of public leaders.

President James Mullen opened the ceremony by reflecting on the enduring impact of Nicholas “Nick” Lambros ’59 P’02, P’02, PM’03.

Devin Martin ’14 is Senior Solutions Architect at Alpha Omega.

Catherine Winters ’14 is an Environmental Program Specialist 2 for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

Additional pieces will be added throughout the run of the show and after True Blue Weekend, with the digital showcase remaining online beyond Oct. 18 to extend the reach of alumni artists to a broader audience.
