Omar Russon ’16 is a lawyer, generally focused on the area of civil rights.

After graduating from Hartwick with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Benjamin went on to earn his master’s degree in athletic training at the University of Delaware and a post-graduate certificate at the University of Kentucky.

Bob Hanft ’69 repeatedly saw the life-changing impact students gained from internships, so he and Pat Russell Hanft ’72, decided to make that their personal focus.

Nearly 80 guests gathered, alongside about 30 alumni builders, to celebrate Professor Sandy Huntington’s life and dedicate the Strawbale House in his memory.

Founded in 2023 by Professors Matt Chick, Laurel Elder, and Zach McKenney, the Hartwick Institute of Public Service partners with local governments to engage young people in our democracy, develop a foundation in the law and inspire the next generation of public leaders.
