Ceremony set for Saturday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. during True Blue Weekend

Hartwick College is pleased to announce the appointment of two distinguished alumni, Matt Chase ’93 of Arlington, Virginia, and Garfield Drummond ’99 of Dover, Massachusetts, to its Board of Trustees.

Four members of the Hartwick College community have been selected to receive a 2025 Alumni Award.

Featuring thought-provoking talks that highlight research, creativity and innovation from across campus.

For the second year in a row, the Hartwick College Institute of Public Service, a nonpartisan organization focused on engaging young people in democracy and preparing a new generation of public leaders, is partnering with The Daily Star to offer all Hartwick students free digital subscriptions to the local newspaper. 

Throughout her legal career, she has demonstrated a commitment to public service.

More than 70 percent of selected Gilman Scholars come from rural areas and small towns across the United States, and 55 percent are first-generation college students.

The series, which highlights the Northeast’s lakes, streams and ponds as vital sources of both recreation and drinking water, begins Thursday, July 10, at 6 p.m.

The five-year, quarter-million-dollar match challenge has been made by Hartwick College Trustee Raymond “Larry” Miller ’73.

Guided by the theme “Striking a Balance,” the week aligned closely with Hartwick’s Life Balance College philosophy, emphasizing student wellness, purpose-driven education and meaningful preparation for life after college.
