News Hartwick College Hosting Another Candidate Forum
On Wednesday, November 1, the Hartwick Institute of Public Service (HIPS) will host candidates running for election in the City of Oneonta from 6-8 p.m. in the Shineman Chapel House on the Hartwick College campus. The candidates planning to attend the November 1 forum are:
Cecelia Walsh-Russo, candidate for City of Oneonta Common Council, Ward 2
Daniel Rorick, candidate for City of Oneonta Common Council, Ward 3
Kaytee Lipari-Shue, candidate for City of Oneonta Common Council, Ward 4
Leonard Carson, candidate for City of Oneonta Common Council, Ward 5
Donald Garrison, candidate for City of Oneonta Common Council, Ward 5
Scott Harrington, candidate for City of Oneonta Common Council, Ward 6
Bryce Wooden, candidate for City of Oneonta Common Council, Ward 7
Emily Falco, candidate for City of Oneonta Common Council, Ward 8
A successful forum was held on October 25 for these Otsego County candidates:
MacGuire Benton, candidate for Otsego County Clerk
Deirdre Hay, candidate for NYS Supreme Court Justice, Sixth Judicial District
Margaret Kennedy, candidate for Otsego County Representative District 5
David Bliss, candidate for Otsego County Representative District 7
Andrew Marietta, candidate for Otsego County Representative District 8
Nora Mendez, candidate for Otsego County Representative District 11
Adrienne Martini, candidate for Otsego County Representative District 12
All of the candidates who will appear on the upcoming ballot were invited to participate. The purpose of the forums is to help inform the community about the offices and candidates running in the 2023 election.
Following this forum, the institute will hold a reception, which will provide candidates with an opportunity to hear directly from their constituents about their concerns and priorities and what they would like to see from their elected officials.
The candidate forums and receptions are free and open to the public. Funding for the events is being made possible through a grant from the Community Foundation of Otsego County.
