Hartwick College Theatre Arts Presents “An Act of God”

April 8, 2019

The Hartwick College Theatre Arts Department presents its senior thesis production of “An Act of God,” by David Javerbaum. This production will run April 17-20 at 8 p.m. in the Lab Theatre of Bresee Hall, on the College campus.

In “An Act of God,” the Lab Theatre is taken over for the night so that God, himself, can speak directly to the people of Earth, and reveal the true meanings behind his Commandments. Accompanied by his archangels, Michael and Gabriel, and his supreme humor, God uses his presence to set the record straight, making “An Act of God,” “clever and even refreshingly positive,” according to David Cole  at Time Out New York magazine.

This production is directed and designed by Theatre Arts major Josie Worley ’19. The show also features the sound design of Dillon Orlando ’20. The cast includes Olivia Springer ’22 as God, Emma Diaz ’22 as Gabriel, and Rusty Elster ’20 as Michael. The production is stage managed by Abigayle Christian ’21.
