Submissions for 2020 Student Showcase Open November 11

November 4, 2019

Have you conducted research? Created an original work of visual art or creative writing? Been part of a group project or performance? Did you complete an internship over the summer? Would you like to show your work or explain your experience to other students, faculty, staff, and the community? If so, view the details below in order to submit your work to the 13th annual Student Showcase.

On May 1, 2020, Hartwick College will host its Student Showcase on the main campus in Oneonta. Submissions for the “Exhibition of Liberal Arts in Practice” will be accepted from Monday, November 11, through Friday, February 21, 2020.

The Student Showcase accepts poster presentations, individual and group oral presentations, table presentations, readings, performances, and art exhibitions. To learn more about the 2020 Student Showcase, visit the event webpage.

Originally called the Community of Scholars Showcase, the event was created in 2008 as an opportunity for some of the College’s best students to show off their work. As they were then, the student accomplishments are meant to serve as an inspiration to their peers and the broader public, who are also invited to join the day’s events.

Current students who would like to participate are encouraged to talk to a faculty or staff member about mentoring their presentation. Students should then write up a title and description of their presentation, and have their mentor carefully review it prior to submitting it between Monday, November 11, 2019 and February 21, 2020.
