On-campus Events:

Taste of the World

International students submit their favorite recipes from their respective countries and Hartwick’s food service prepares the meals for everyone to share and enjoy! We’ve had recipes from Brazil, Georgia, Spain, Nigeria, Hawaii, Mexico and more.

Celebrate Your Cultural Traditions

Bring a bit of your culture to Hartwick! For example, students celebrated the Holi festival by throwing colored powders, eating traditional Indian snacks at Stack Lounge and listening to Indian music. An international student from India shared interesting facts about the food and celebration.

Culture Bash

Hartwick students enjoy food, fun and games as they celebrate cultures from all around the world at our Culture Bash event!

Off-campus events:

Philadelphia

During the spring semester of 2024, the Center for Global Education organized a day trip to Philadelphia for our international students.

They visited Constitution Hall, the Liberty Bell and enjoyed lunch at Philly’s famous Reading Terminal Market.

Hartwick Students at the Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls

Hartwick college organized a day trip to the Niagara Falls during the spring semester of 2024. Students had the opportunity to travel to upstate New York and visit the largest waterfall in North America, as well as one of the most popular tourist attractions of the United States.

Washington DC

During the spring break of 2022, the Office of Global Education planned a 5-day trip to Washington DC with 8 international students.

They had the opportunity to do multiple tours and guided visits in Washington DC. Their favorite activities were a walking tour inside the Capitol, visiting George Washington’s house in Mt. Vernon, and entering the library of Congress.
