Success Summit Encourages Students to Dream Big, Do Work, Get Paid

Roughly 50 Hartwick College students made significant strides in their college-to-career journey on Saturday, Feb. 3, by attending one of the College’s signature FlightPath events – the Success Summit.

“The Success Summit is one of the most valuable events Hartwick students can attend to prepare for networking and applying to internships and jobs,” said Assistant Vice President of Career Development & Network Engagement Megan Gray. “New this year, the program expanded to a full day and was available for all students. We also partnered with LinkedIn MVPs and college-to-career success experts, the Do Work Project. These guys have an incredible network and track record for creating thousands of successful career outcomes for college students and early-stage career professionals.”

LinkedIn MVPs and Do Work Project founders Rob Humphrey and Bert Zevzavadjian delivered the keynote address, “Dream Big, Do Work, Get Paid,” which focused on what it takes for career success. Activities throughout the day focused on goal-setting, communication, professional reputation, self-branding, and networking.

“The Success Summit gave me a chance to get professional opinions on things that, as a pre-professional, you don't have much experience with. You hear about LinkedIn and all these different things, which can be really overwhelming to deal with on your own. Having someone break it down and explain it to you has been extremely helpful.”
