Hartwick College Honor Bands

The Tenth Annual Hartwick College Honor Bands will be held on campus on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

A Full Day of Music Making

Any experienced band students in grades 9-12 are invited to apply. A limited number will be selected. For a participation fee of $50, students will experience a full day of music making, with on-campus lunch and a t-shirt provided.
Apply online by Thursday, October 1. Accepted students will be notified by Monday, October 5.

Experienced High School Band Students

You will work with guest conductor William Tonissen, music director of the Manhattan Summer Winds, and host Associate Professor Andy Pease, along with the rest of Hartwick’s distinguished instrumental music faculty and the members of the Hartwick Wind Ensemble. The day will culminate in a live concert from the Anderson Center for the Arts.

9 a.m. – Registration
9:30 a.m. – Rehearsal
Noon – Lunch Break
12:45 p.m. – Hartwick Wind Ensemble Performance and College Q&A
1:30 p.m. – Sectionals with Faculty
2:30-5 p.m. – Rehearsal
5:30-6:30 p.m. – Concert
