Honor Band Guest Conductor
Jasmine Britt is Artistic Director & Conductor of the Kings County Concert Band in Brooklyn, New York. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Florida State University and her Master’s in Music Education from Ithaca College. Upon graduating with honors from FSU, Ms. Britt taught band at Olsen Middle School in Dania Beach, Florida where her students participated in the Broward All-County Band and Florida All-State Bands. In 2007 she became the band director at Middle School 50 in Brooklyn, leading the symphonic band to its first Gold Medal Rating at NYSSMA evaluation in 2009 then again in 2010 and 2011. She is currently a band director at the Grand Street Campus High Schools, directing the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band B, the Concert Band and several chamber ensembles. She is a woodwind coach/associate conductor of the NYC DOE All City Concert Band and most recently conducted the MEANYC District All State Middle School Concert Band.
Honor Band Host, Assistant Professor of Instrumental Music
Andrew D. Pease directs Hartwick’s Wind Ensemble and Brass Ensemble and teaches conducting and orchestration. He began his career in New York City, where he led the Columbia University Wind Ensemble and Columbia Summer Winds. He has degrees from Dartmouth College, Columbia University, Hofstra University, and a DMA in wind conducting at Arizona State University, where his primary teachers were Gary Hill and Wayne Bailey.
