Hartwick’s Coaching Certification Program is a great step toward becoming a leader on and off the field.

A certification in coaching backed up by a liberal arts education and hands-on opportunities will get you ready to thrive, in the locker room and beyond.

Where a certification in coaching can take you.

Hartwick graduates with a certification in coaching are prepared to take on the world. Many continue into a career in athletics, while others go into the work world or on to graduate study to further their studies.

Requirements

New York State requires all applicants for teaching, coaching, counseling and administrative certification (provisional and permanent) to have taken a certified course in Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting. To apply for a coaching certificate from Hartwick College, you must complete the above requirements. The courses appear on your transcript and may be used to meet state requirements.
