Hartwick has received two grants totaling $10,000 from the Community Foundation of Otsego County to expand civic engagement and innovation at the College.

The award will be presented to Hartwick College at the American Sociological Association annual meeting in Philadelphia in August.

Two institutions are launching joint simulation labs for first-year Bassett residents and nursing students. This is the first time Bassett residents are partnering with Hartwick nursing students in simulation labs.

She came to Hartwick, in part, to strengthen her English speaking skills. “I wanted to speak with people as much as possible to practice,” she said. “People here are so friendly and talk with new people without hesitation.”

Gross will lead innovative strategies to enhance the quality and diversity of the College’s enrollment management and financial aid optimization plans.

Following the year in the President’s office, “The Paint Chip” will be added to the extensive Alumni Collection, which features hundreds of paintings, prints, sculptures and other works of art from Hartwick alumni.

Under a packed tent with a standing-room-only crowd, the Hartwick College Class of 2023 crossed the commencement stage on Saturday, May 20.
