Career Development Programming
The Career Development office provides annual programming to support your career exploration and ready you for success. From exploring careers based on your values, strengths, skills and interests to learning and applying professional skills, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to find the workplace that fits your career goals.
Participate in real world experiences, connect with working professionals to practice networking, or learn from those who’ve been there before with alumni mentorship opportunities.
Learn key professional skills and practice your networking with our annual Sophomore Success Summit. This a certification program.
When you complete the program, join Hartwick community members and alumni for an exclusive celebratory dinner and networking event, receive your certification and get your professional headshot taken for your digital resume.
Completion of this program is required to attend a Career HOP.
One of the best ways to learn about an industry is from the people who work there! Hartwick Industry Days gives you the opportunity to engage with employers and alumni within specific industry clusters.
Each Industry Day will offer employer and alumni panel discussions, classroom presentations, tabling, internship showcases from current Hartwick College students, and a chance to have your resume and digital profile reviewed.
Get Ready For Opportunities at Work - GROW Workshops
Join our twice-monthly GROW workshops to develop new workplace skills and practice what you know. Each workshop is 45 minutes and facilitated by Hartwick staff, faculty, alumni, or local employers.
Hawk Career HOP
Our Hawk Career HOP gives you the opportunity to see and hear firsthand what it’s like to work in a particular industry, company, or field. You’ll network with Hartwick alumni, learn about a variety of career options, experience life on the job, and gain the insight and connections to get you there. *Success Summit is a prerequisite for attending the Career HOP.Hawk Career HOP
