Alumni Awards

Hartwick College and the Alumni Association recognize our best and brightest who have used their Hartwick liberal arts education to its greatest potential. Awards are presented for professional achievement, community involvement and advancing the mission and vision of Hartwick.

Alumni Award Nominations for Spring 2023

Members of the Hartwick community are invited to nominate individuals you believe deserve special recognition. The nomination process of 2023 awards is now OPEN!

Awards

Meritorious Service Award: This is the highest award given to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding loyalty and effective service to Hartwick College. Nominees may be graduate or non-graduate alumni, retired employees, parents or friends of the College.

Outstanding Young Alumna/us & Rising Hawks Award: This award is intended to recognize those graduates who, during relatively few years following graduation, have shown: outstanding performance and achievement in professional and volunteer activities; and have demonstrated a commitment to engaging with Hartwick students and/or the Hartwick community at large. To qualify, candidates must be from a graduating class two to nineteen years prior to the year in which they are considered for this award (e.g. for the 2023 award, the classes of 2004-2022 would be considered).

Distinguished Alumna/us Award: This award is intended to recognize those graduate alumni who have distinguished themselves by outstanding achievements in their professional careers and/or civic or charitable activities.

Outstanding Volunteer Award: This award recognizes those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding and sustained volunteer service to the College. Nominees may be alumni, retired employees, parents or friends of the College.

Outstanding Employee Award: This award recognizes a member of the faculty or staff of Hartwick College who has gone above and beyond the scope of his/her job responsibilities to make outstanding contributions to the work of the Alumni Association and/or provide significant assistance to alumni through professional networking, career guidance, providing a link between alumni and current students, and/or other meaningful contributions connecting alumni to each other and to the College.
