Alumni Association Award Nominations

Hartwick College and the Alumni Association recognize our best and brightest who have used their Hartwick liberal arts education to its greatest potential. Awards are presented for professional achievement, community involvement and advancing the mission and vision of Hartwick.

Members of the Hartwick community are invited to nominate individuals you believe deserve special recognition. The nomination process for 2023 awards will open soon.

Meritorious Service Award
This is the highest award given by the Alumni Association to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding loyalty and effective service to Hartwick College. Nominees may be graduate or non-graduate alumni, retired employees, parents or friends of the College.

Outstanding Young Alumnus/a Award
This award is intended to recognize those graduate alumni who, during relatively few years following graduation, have shown outstanding performance, competence and achievement in professional and/or volunteer activities. To qualify, candidates should be from a graduating class two to fifteen years prior to the year in which they are considered for this award (e.g. for the 2019 award, the classes of 2004‐2017 would be considered).

Distinguished Alumnus/a Award
This award is intended to recognize those graduate alumni who have distinguished themselves by outstanding achievements in their professional careers and/or civic or charitable activities. There are no restrictions regarding time since graduation in order to be considered for this award.

Outstanding Volunteer Award
This award recognizes those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding and sustained volunteer service for the College. Nominees may be graduate or non‐graduate alumni, retired employees, parents, or friends of the College.

Outstanding Employee Award
This award recognizes a member of the faculty or staff of Hartwick College who has gone above and beyond the scope of his/her job responsibilities to make outstanding contributions to the work of the Alumni Association and/or provide significant assistance to alumni through professional networking, career guidance, providing a link between alumni and current students, and/or other meaningful contributions connecting alumni to each other and to the College.
