International Student Checklist of Dates & Forms

The Office of Global Education is looking forward to your arrival!

New International Student Orientation is held each semester to introduce new international students to U.S. campus life, opportunities at Hartwick, and F-1 visa requirements.

Right Away Apply for your student visa at your U.S. embassy or consulate.

June 1 Course Planning Guide and Placement Exams (as needed): First steps toward the creation of your course schedule – visit New Student Course Planning for more details.

Fill out the Housing & Roommate Preference Form or Commuter Application Form on the Housing Portal (you may need to log in with your Hartwick credentials to access these forms).

Financial Responsibility Form (pdf – print or scan and send to [email protected] or fax to 607-431-4006).

Honors Program application (by invitation only)

Three-Year Bachelor’s Degree Program enrollment deadline (if applicable)

August 1 Suggested deadline for buying a plane ticket.
August 5 Health Forms due.

Bill available for viewing online; for information about paying your bill using Flywire, visit www.flywire.com.

Final, official high school and college transcript transcripts due to the Office of the Registrar.

Photo Submission for Student ID Card: Scroll down to “Online Photo Submission” section for instructions on uploading your student ID photo.

August 15 Arrival Information and Ride Request Form due to the Office of Global Education.
August 18 Health Insurance Election Form  – Must be submitted even if not choosing health insurance coverage through Hartwick.

Scholar-athlete Eligibility Forms – for fall-semester athletes only; check with individual coach.

Alcohol & Sexual Assault Awareness Online Educational Module.

August 20-21 Move into campus, run errands, get settled into dorm rooms, etc. Please click here to request a shuttle pickup from Albany to campus.
August 22-23 New International Student Orientation
Please bring your passport with visa and I-20 to our first session in Golisano 201.
